As a SharePoint Developer and Content Manager at Avitiva I designed and developed a number of SharePoint Portals. Upon implementation I managed the portal content, site updates, design modifications, and site architecture changes. Most SharePoint sites were developed as custom portals for Microsoft. My duties required full SDLC knowledge, project management skills, CSS programming, Master Page development/design, ASP.Net code development, UI design/development, and graphic design.

Akona Systems – SharePoint UI Designer & Test Engineer

Working at Akona Systems we designed and developed a custom SharePoint application for Microsoft’s Developer & Platform Evangelism (DPE) group called Evidence 360. The Evidence 360 site is intended to act as a central consolidated platform built to facilitate the production, storage, management, discovery, and use of evidence across multiple groups at Microsoft. I had the opportunity to work in a variety of areas on this project; I acted as our lead tester, created all test plans and test documentation, created and ran the bug tracking documentation system, as well as performed CSS programming, ASP.Net editing, UI design modifications, and bug fixes.

Microsoft Corp. / Volt – Web Developer & Designer for Vista Launch SharePoint Site

As a Web Site Developer and Designer for the Windows Vista Launch Partner SharePoint site, I developed a custom SharePoint web site that acted as the main portal for Microsoft Partners to obtain Windows Vista Launch information and resources. Additionally, I also customized and developed numerous internal SharePoint web sites that were solely used by internal employees. My duties required experience and knowledge of Windows Vista, Office 2007, modern web development practices, SharePoint 2003 & 2007, SharePoint customization, site management tools, testing, graphic design, and project management. This position also required a great deal of communication, both internally and externally. Following Vista’s launch and completion of development my duties shifted to handle more site administration, product testing, and maintenance.

As the Web Site Manager for Microsoft Premier Online (MPO) I edited/managed content and acted as the liaison between all International Site Managers handling the MPO site world-wide. My duties required an in-depth knowledge of XHTML, in-house development tools, and a high level of communication, both verbally and written. In this position, I followed a strict timeline of updates that required me to prioritize tasks and manage time and resources effectively. Additionally, I acted as a backup for the Contact Us section of Microsoft.com. As the backup for the Contact Us section of the MS web site I created pages, edited content, hand-coded pages, and maintained high-level communication with various teams.

Eureka Software, Inc. – Marketing & Web Technologies Project Manager

As the Marketing and Web Technologies Project Manager at Eureka Software, a versatile multimedia communications company, my role required skills and an in-depth knowledge of project management, web technologies, end-user usability, web compliance standards, graphical user interface design, website conceptualization, product testing, and marketing practices and strategies. I used an advanced understanding of product usability and worked to develop appealing user interfaces that incorporate sound functionality and architecture. Working closely with the Associate VP of Marketing/Advertising at corporate headquarters I developed an external website that brought the AmericanWest brand into the modern internet age. Through communication with other bank officers, we created a core set off marketing strategies that focused on new market segments, customer retention and promotion, modern development practices, and technology expansion. Methods used during development included project management and programming with CSS and XHTML, graphic design, web site testing, and digital photography. As a result, the site met and/or exceeded current web standard compliance set by the W3C.

First, working in the Tech Support Department, training and technical support were provided through phone, e-mail and personal contact with clients. Customer interaction spanned a variety of industries and expanded our client base with effective marketing and sales techniques.   • 2007 Capitol Media – Pike Place Fish Market:
    Web Site code re-design for Pike Place Fish Market. Capitol Media hired me on to re-code the Pike Place Fish Market web site and bring it into the modern age of coding practices. This process involved expert knowledge of XHTML and CSS, along with Shop and cross-browser development.
